I purchased a 2015 Ford F150 Lariat with a 5.0l at auction. It had been stolen and recovered. The morons that stole it ran it down through the woods and and beat the truck up all over. They also hit a small tree in the front enough to damage the front bumper including the adaptive cruise control module that was original to the truck. Before installing the module, the cruise didn't work but I didn't get any warnings on the dash. When I plugged in the new module, I still didn't get any warnings nor did the cruise work. I started checking fuses and found that the adaptive cruise fuse (#110 in the under hood box) was blown. I replaced this fuse and things came alive. I got the collision avoidance not operable warning on the dash but the cruise still didn't work.

I have become familiar with forscan and have used it to fix some other things on the truck. I tried to go through the procedures that have been posted earlier in the thread. Most of the settings are already the same as what's been posted here. But, I don't have the CCM module where you put in the hex equivalent of your vin. Should the CCM module display on forscan? If not, why would it not display? I'm not sure if forscan is enough to accomplish the job. Another thing that has been mentioned is an IDS. I assume that's another diagnostic tool? Sort of stuck here and if anyone could help I would appreciate it.
If you have a profile of your truck saved in FORScan it will not see the new modules the next time you log into it. When it asks if you want to load the profile, click no so it'll see the CCM then you should be able to write your VIN into the module

Thanks Firerunner. I'd completely forgot about that. That fixed that. Only DTC I have now is the calibration missing code B1433:54-24. How do I go about that? I've read in this thread they will self calibrate but I'm not sure if that's truly the case. Again, any help is appreciated.

The C-CM will never "self-calibrate". The calibration procedure must be performed using IDS, FORScan, etc. FORScan is completely capable of calibrating the C-CM.

The C-CM must have the correct VIN specific As Built data programmed and all DTCs cleared, with the exception of the DTC for alignment of the C-CM which won't clear, before proceeding. Since you said the only DTC you currently have is for the alignment of the C-CM, I'm going to assume you have correctly programmed the As Built data in the new C-CM.

During installation of the new C-CM did you properly align the C-CM? Refer to attachment. The C-CM must be properly aligned before proceeding to the calibration procedure.

To Calibrate the C-CM (refer to attachment):

Note: Before beginning C-CM calibration, clear all DTCs. There will still be a DTC in the C-CM as it has not been calibrated. This is normal

1. Connect Bluetooth or USB ELM327 adapter to the vehicle and laptop

2. Turn on ignition key and start vehicle

3. Start FORScan and connect FORScan to vehicle

4. Click the Wrench Icon

5. Click "C-CM Calibrate Cruise Control Sensors"

6. Click the Play button at the bottom left of screen

7. Follow the on-screen prompts. Note: during the calibration process the vehicle must be driven at 30+ MPH and identify approx. 250 targets. Interrupting the calibration process will terminate the session and calibration must be restarted.

8. When calibration has finished, as indicated by the warning message clearing on the IPC, click the Stop button at the bottom left of screen

9. Check/Clear any DTCs

10. Make backup copy of modified As Built for IPC, SCCM, BCM, ABS & C-CM modules

Disconnect FORScan from the vehicle

Thanks so much, I don't have access to an alignment shop so I took the truck to my shop where the floor is very level. I vertically plumbed the module and popped on the cover. I then cleared all the DTC and put the c-cm in calibration mode. Drove down the road for a few miles until the "Needs Calibration" message went away. Tested the adaptive cruise on the way back and everything worked great. Appreciate all your help!

Now I have to figure out whats going on with the FICM. When they stole the truck they tried unsuccessfully to steal the panel where the dual climate control and radio buttons are located. I guess they wanted to steal it because the cut both wiring plugs to the back of it. Didn't think that would be a problem until I went to try and solder them back together. At that point I discovered that there were multiple pairs of wires that were the same colors. I have the wiring diagrams and I've been able to chase down most of the problems but I still have a few lingering out there. Still plugging along but having the CCM out of the way is a big help! Thanks gain.

Just wondering about the main wire harness the sub harness plugs into. Obviously on my xlt the power wire in the main harness was absent causing me to rob power from someplace else.

What i I want to know, is where does the absent wire actually go to from that connector? I’m thinking I may want to run that missing wire so it’s more factory like instead of the splice.

Thanks!

On a factory ACC truck, the power wire goes from that connector to the BJB. It shares a fuse with the power wire for the Transfer case control module.

BJB - battery junction box, fuse 110 powers both modules. The page from the 2016 FSM is attached.

You can tap the yellow blue wire out of the BJB as I did to put it on the correct fuse. On mine I could see that wire right out of the BJB so I taped it.

I've been reading through this thread.. quite long! Seems like an awesome upgrade. Does the list of OEM parts that was posted for the 2016 models work for a 2015? From what I have read it seems that 2018s are the part number changes. I'm about to go to the dealer and order the suggested list. I just wanted to make sure before placing the order.
