Default Accident!

There I was, sitting in a long line of traffic, minding my own business.....and a Motorcycle passes using the shoulder of the road. I can understand a Motorcycle doing this, but my patients runs out quite quickly when a line of traffic shortly follows. A few vehicles in the line of traffic were also trying to block the illegal traffic shoulder flow. I think the Volvo was like the third car in the shoulder traffic.

The pics show the extent of the damage.

I guess you could say the lift and big wheels paid for themselves today

The rims are dirty, there is no damage what so ever!
Damn Volvo stole my tire shine!!!

glad to hear that you didn't have any damage. That said, although passing on the shoulder is risky and stupid, you should've just left it alone rather than try to be the hero.

I could see ahead, he couldn't. Notice how close he comes to the accident before cutting over in line.

I tried to see the damage on the Volvo, but he kept speeding up lol. I was a minimum of 10mph over, and it's 70mph.

RioRand F30 and a free file joiner to create the longer video.

Wasn't trying to be a hero, just trying to slow/stop illegal driving in hopes of diverting another possible accident.

My tire was the hero

Personally me risking my life, families life or damage to a new truck because someone got ahead of me makes zero sense. Guy could be a dick, taking pregnant wife to hospital, late for a flight; so what does that have to do with you? jmho

Understand your point but 99% of the time that's not the case. The older I get the more I see the vast majority of people are just plain rude and inconsiderate. They care about nobody but themselves. They will trample all over yours and any body else's rights. Then on the other side you better not get within 15 feet of theirs.

100% agreed. You're not the road behavior police. Just let people do what they're going to do and stay out of their way. Don't know why you had to try and be an enforcer here.

I would have laughed if the guy passing on the shoulder just plowed into you. How do you explain that to the police? Ummm... I pulled out onto the shoulder to block this other guy... from driving on the shoulder... because... ummmmm... yeah that's all I got...

Also you could have turned that 9:16 of video into like 60 seconds.

Yep, and the older you get you should be learning that you will never change their behavior so just don't get involved and go on with your own life.

I know you're not the OP, but the problem with cars is that once people get in a vehicle, especially a big ol' jacked up truck, they feel invincible and then proceed to use their vehicle to exert some imagined power on others.

Don't cut people off, don't get in front of them in the fast lane, don't try and keep them from passing you, don't block their way when they're merging. Just let them go on their merry way and it'll catch up with them eventually. Don't feel the need to try and be the tough guy. Best that can happen is nothing, worst that can happen is you get dragged out of your vehicle and beat to death because you didn't know the guy you just cut off has some rage problems.

Alright I'll take a breath now.
