Just wondering if any other of you have experienced your air conditioning turning itself on the recirculate when you just have the regular ac on?

 

Nope, just when I hit the max air(or whatever it is called). Are you using remote start? Sometimes that will do it. Also the front/high defrost button might do it.

 

No. Just normal use, and sometimes it seems like slower speeds it will kick on. Haven't really noticed a pattern but it will freeze me out! haha

 

Yes and it drives me nuts.

 

Mine does that too and its annoying, I will be into a drive for a few minutes then all of a sudden recirculate is on. Not sure what the logic behind is.

I have noticed that if I turn the truck on with AC if it is hot enough outside recirculate comes on automatically, and if I turn it off it will not turn on by itself for the duration of the drive. If it starts without recir on it does turn on after something is triggered.

Ok.... well at least I know it's not a 'defect' just annoying like the auto start/stop feature.

All the time . . . Super annoying. haven't bothered getting out the manual to see why its happening...

Max AC automatically sets recirc. ON.
The temp dial when cranked all the way CCW on my XLT sets max AC mode.

 

I don't usually use the MAX AC (yet.. not hot enough) and I know that does it. I'm saying I have it on fresh air, regular AC and it will just switch to recirculate on its own.

 

Max AC is past the all the way cold, however mine is not on there, it is just on the coldest setting just before the Max AC option.
