Here is DATC. The Air Inlet Door (recirculation) is the same.

Thanks for the update. Unfortunately, as 52merc notes, the suspect actuator is the same... I'm trying to get to my dealer to see if my extended Ford warranty covers this repair. Since it doesn't set a permanent code, I'm sure they will want to wait for that condition before covering a repair. I'm torn between doing this myself and making sure it's done right (and preserving the condition of my interior), and letting the dealer do it since I paid for the full extended warranty. First world problems...

Thanks again for all the great information.

Default Hvac actuator

Just had mine replaced under extended warranty. It was billed as a 7.5 hour labor job and about $30 part. Cost me $100 deductible. This actuator failed roughly a month after the one that’s located near the accelerator pedal under the dash. I asked them if they could change out the remaining one while the dash was removed but the warranty company denied the request. So I guess I’ll wait it out. I have a 2016 f150 platinum if that matters as far as the parts go.

Vinkim70, thanks for the reply! So did your truck set a permanent code/wrench light? My question is, what condition existed that the warranty covered the repair? I wouldn't think that error codes that showed
Status:
- Previously Set DTC - Not Present at Time of Request
- Malfunction Indicator Lamp is Off for this DTC

would qualify for warranty repair.
