Well, here is mine. 1733 lbs of payload.

not really understanding your point. 4x2 and the 6.5 bed both increase payload capacity, and since most have the 5.5 with 4x4 means most have less. Like 1400ish

just refuting your blanket statement about 2.7's. Wheelbase changes exactly 0 lbs with towing capacity, if anything it should LOWER the payload since the bigger bed is heavier. The 4x2 vs 4x4 changes towing by 100 lbs on the 4x2, can't get 4x4 with 6.5' bed.

my bad. I assumed because the hdpp was on the 6.5 that all 6.5 2.7s were hdpp. And I didn't know you couldn't get the 6.5, 2.7 4x4. Weird.

I think he meant the 2.7 couldn't handle the extra weight of loaded Lariat, Platinum, or King Ranch. The twin panel moon roof is probably the heaviest addition to 2015+ trucks, but it can be had on most trims... maybe XLT and up.

This is why you cannot buy a platinum truck or lariat 502a with the 2.7L because these trucks have more items in them and weigh more. All the "options" add weight to these trucks several hundred pounds. So Ford deems you need more horsepower which the 3.5L has more horsepower.

That is explained.

Can someone please take his keys away? Please??

A little birdie told me that was the reason I couldn't order the 2.7 in 2015 MY.. But it I had waited I could get it in 2016. Then the story changed to can't get it in 2016 have to wait till 2017.. Meanwhile I'm enjoying the 5L I went with most likely till I die.. I got the 6.6 bed so I can use it as my coffin.

I am getting 4x4truckleds for mere 260. I hope my 2.7 handles the extra load from bright and heavy led. It must be the heavy 360 camera they decided not to offer the package.

You're gonna need to swap the Powerstroke in there, no way any gas powered engine could handle all that.
