Default 5.0L Longevity

I talked with a friend of mine tonight, who I hadn't seen in about 4 years. I knew he had bought a 2011 F-150 with the 5.0L brand new. He now has 112K miles on it, and he has never had a problem with it. His only complaint was the OEM Pirelli tires only lasted 35K miles.

My 11 F150 5.0 had 262300 Kilometers or 163,000 miles with no major issues when I upgraded to my '16 F1fitty

Nobody else impressed the stock tires did 35k miles? My stockers look rough at 35k kilometers. Pretty sure they are losing tread sitting in the garage unmounted.

My 1999 Dodge Ram has 57,500 on it when I upgraded to my 2016 F-150 lariat. And I just found out from the guy who I sold it to (my friend) it had a bad perennial gasket, as it was allowing oil to get up in the intake valves and evaporating into just a oily sludge. (I think...I'm not well versed in automotive engine jargon, just going on memory by what my friend was saying.) And the water pump and belt tension pulley was going bad. Guess I got rid of the truck just in time. But we paid for these repairs. Friend felt guilty for that, but didn't want him to feel like we sold him a lemon. He already replaced the plugs and wires earlier. (Which needed it)

I got Michelin OEM tires on my 16 Lariat. I'm thinking they ought to last a long time. There seems to be very little tire spin with the traction control.
