Default 5.0L Engine sputtering

2018 F150 5.0L / 10 speed automatic. Engine has a very mild sputtering typically between between 55-60MPH. Started at around 90k miles. Now has 111k.
All coils and spark plugs changed. No difference.
The driver side variable timing device also changed but that was a completely separate issue.
Thanks
Marcos

What octane are you running for fuel?

Try doing a KAM reset, or pull the ground off for 30 minutes or so.

Thanks for your reply! Regular - 87. Does seem to be somewhat of a knocking sound now that you mention it. As I accelerate from a start. Particlularly as engine is warming up.

Is this correct?
How do you reset the kam on a f150?
turn headlight **** on to drain the capacitors, wait 5-10 minutes (or longer), turn off headlight ****, reconnect battery cable, and voila- KAM reset!

My 2018 5.0 had a noticeable improvement when I switched to premium fuel. Among other things it eliminated spark knock.
It was a bit of an adjustment not always going for the bargain fuel but I’d like to think that using a top tier premium fuel is better for the motor.

You're not. It makes no difference.

Fuel octane doesn't matter. its partial throttle low load..

You're not driving with your foot on the floor. Part way down and if you're not towing, its not taxing the engine.
