Default 5.0 test drive

Haven't seen a lot of info on the new 5.0, so I'll share my experience.

Just drove this beauty about an hour ago. 2015 XLT 5.0 SCREW. Lots of bells and whistles for an XLT I thought: MYFord Touch, heated cloth seats, backup camera, parking sensors, etc. MSRP WAS $43k and some change.

Had a crap ton of power. The new power numbers were very noticeable. My 3.7 has been great for me, but I think I ruined myself now by feeling the difference in power.

Truck felt more nimble than my 2012 due to the weight reduction. Still felt solid and grounded to the road. I really liked the backup camera and parking sensors. I pretty much liked everything about the truck. They did a great job with the redesign.

Dealer said Ford had NO lease incentives on the 2015's at the moment and only $2000 back if financed. Not surprised, but still bummed at the same time. Hard to walk out, but their rediculous lease payment offer was $750!

Thanks for that. Been debating on the 5.0 as well if/when I upgrade. I have had a couple of EcoBoost issues that scared the bejesus out of me and if I'm going to spend another pretty penny on a new truck...it's gonna be full V8 power this time. Just waiting for some King Ranch's to start rolling in and incentives to come a slashing!

Ford is offering $2000 cash back if we allow Ford to finance the truck? Is that true?

Aqua, that's what I was told. Hope they sweeten the incentives after a few months.

Seems to me that the U.S. dealers are holding their sale price closer to the MSRP compared to Canada.

Sticker today in the showroom on a Lariat Sport 502 package of $56k and MSRP of $66k. Considering a $0.84 exchange rate that would be approx $47k US before taxes. Not sure on the lease rates but finance on 60 months is around 2.5% area.
