Default 5.0 jba headers installed

I just got my early christmas present. JBA shorty headers. These are 50 state legal and just bolt on. Cats are still there along with all O2 sensors. These are supposed to be good for close to 20hp. Not sure if the seat of the pants dyno can really feel em, but it does feel a lil bit zippier. Didnt change sound a whole lot but exhaust note is definatley different. Install was a complete Pain in the &$$. I have close to 8 hrs from start to finish. I would guess install on a 2wd would be much easier. 4wd was in my way alot. Overall im happy with em.

just curious as to what those cost and why did you chose those over long tubes?
i would really like headers for my truck but the cost of them (in canada) does not really seem worth it... chances are i will buy them anyway one day

I would want to know what my A/F ratio was doing now. It may need to be tuned.

They were $450. JBA 1683S. I cant do long tubes as I live in California. These are 50 state smog legal. Im sure the CARB sticker added a bit to the price. California Air Resources Board has to have their stamp of approval on everything out here!

Looking forward to dyno results. Did you get a baseline?

Nice to see them retain original piping, cats, and O2 sensor locations. I've had longtubes before with high flow cats and repositioned sensors, and struggled with annual emissions testing. These would eliminate that problem. I'd like to see dyno numbers on them as well.

There are advantages and disadvantages to long tubes. For a daily driver, I like these shorties better.
