Default 5.0 Engine noise

Hello everyone,

I have 2016 F150 with 80k miles, I have had this loud engine noise for a while anyone know what it could be ?

any codes? by the sound my guess would be a bad VCT solenoid

I'm sure this isn't the case, but my first thought was that it sounds like it can't breathe. Like I said, I highly doubt this is the case, but check your air filter... which I'm sure you already have.

Thanks roofis, the air filter is new and clean, no obstructions either.

I have seen a few other 5.0's with this noise, I think it maybe normal?

I always thought mine was noisey. I had to go start it after reading and listening. No mine does NOT sound like that. Unless your phone's recording is making it worse.
