hmmm, you said "They replaced the engine but Ford will not let me get a warranty on it."

What does that mean? Im pretty sure if Ford replaces a part, that part comes with its own warranty that may or may not exceed the factory warranty. When you say, Ford will not let me get a warranty do you mean they didnt offer you a warranty on the new engine or Ford wont let you extend the warranty?

You said "The extended warranty on truck is for another year."

So was the engine replaced through the factory powertrain warranty, did you have an extended Ford ESP, or did you use a third party extended warranty?

Not sure about Ford but Subaru only covers 12 months on rebuilt engines and trans, so if the OP got a rebuilt engine under warranty maybe they only gave him 12 months. Lots of details missing.

I think they put a dye liquid on top of the cylinder and found it went through.

My warranty is ford. The engine is brand new. The warranty that i presently have is from buying the truck new and runs out in just over a year. That is when they will only honor for the new engine. They have no extended warranty for me to purchase for the engine either.

Smoke was from old engine. I have esp warranty. They will not allow me to get an extended warranty on new engine. They said there isn’t one to buy.

You can't buy an additional warranty for something that was replaced under a warranty that you never paid for. You only have the balance of the remaining warranty.
