Thanks folks, just asking cause there's a thread on here about people lifting their 2wds. There were some points I agreed with about 2wds over 4x4, just wanted other people's thoughts. An 4x4 seems the right way to go for what I do and need.

Between where you live and the possibility of a slippery boat ramp, 4x4 shouldn't even be a question.

The truth is you can probably get by with 2 wheel drive. If the weather is that bad stay home. That said if you can afford it, get it, I wouldn’t be without it.

Nope, but it does add 2 additional points of traction underneath the heaviest part of the truck with the most amount of grip...

I've driven my 2013 through 6 Chicago winters. Haven't wished I had 4X4 yet.
