Default 400 Miles On The Backroads

This past Sunday, I did a quick 400 mile trip thru north Alabama into and down to central Georgia. No interstate. All the roads were curvy and hilly with the posted speed of 55mph.

I am still very impressed with this comfortable truck. Eight hours in the seat and about four hours in the country darkness. I arrived home feeling rested and like I’d only been riding for a few miles.

Below is my mpg. The meter reads one mpg high. I have very heavy 34” tires with a front level. I can’t complain.

I really like my truck!

Pecked out on my iPhone.

It looks like a 2015-2017 Ford F150 Regular Cab, short bed (6'6") with a couple of modifications

Seriously though, what engine and transmission? Those are some nice MPG numbers

I did a similar trip several weeks ago down to my camp, just shy of 200 miles, hilly curvy SE Ohio roads. Averaged 26.3 (corrected to 25.9 actual). This 2.7/10AT truck has been about 2 mpg's better on average than my 2.7/6AT truck. Couldn't be happier with it.

If you can't see my signature, it's a '16 5.0 FX4 with 3.55 rear.

Bull bar is a Westen Contour.

Gotta agree. This is the most comfortable, quietest, pickup I've ever owned. It's a joy on the longer trips.

I agree. I drove from Watsonville to Anaheim, which was about 352 miles, but with traffic it took close to 7 1/2 hours. It was a joy to drive the whole trip.
