4.5 Maxtrac Spindles?
#61
Kirksumida thanks so much for posting those pics and giving measurements too!! Great info, exactly what I've been looking for. Any chance you could throw on a couple pics of your rig on level ground? The measurements tell a story but I'd like it to pass the eye test too as I'm considering going with a 4" rear block for a bit more rake (maybe??). I currently have the 3" block installed with 2.5" level (spacers) in the front. Obviously my setup was intended for 4wd so I have vicious rake. Can't wait to get the maxtrac with bilsteins all around just like yours! Thanks again!

Funny thing is I saw these new posts and started to wonder why I'm on a 4" block and startd to look into if I could drop down to a 3" block. I measured and my front is 43.5 and rear is 43.75. The difference is im running ICON coils with all preload taken out of them. I always thought they didnt give me any lift like that though. I'm also on 285/75r18's.

I used this thread to decide what I wanted to do to my 2018 2WD F150 XLT 3.5EB and wanted to help out others that may want to do the same to their truck. I used the 4.5" spindles in the front and 1.5" readylift blocks in the back, stock struts/shocks. This combination gave me ~40.25" height from ground to center of fender with stock wheels and tires, so if you want a true level use the 1.5" blocks not the 2" blocks that come in a kit. I also wanted to see what the max tire size was for this lift without touching the crash bars. I installed raptor take offs and found they do not rub on crashbars but do rub on the spindles when the tire flexes at all. Driving straight the clearance between the side wall and spindle is </= 1/8". So while you could technically run a 315/70/R17, It wouldn't be wise.
First picture is on stock wheels tires:
Now with raptor wheels, 315/70/R17 tires:
Here is a shot of just how close the tires are to the spindle:
Same angle but with 285/75r17s installed:
And finally the crashbar clearance with 285/75r17s at the closest point:
