Default 3D printed overhead accessory switch panel

I'm aware there are already some threads about this but I'm doing something a little different.

I have seen the aluminum panels that must be screwed on, and that cool but I thought why not design an exact replica of the OEM that snaps in like OEM and i can just 3D print one.

so far some R&D but I'm getting really close to a final product. I'm using 16mm buttons they are pretty common and you can find them in many different colors and finishes

i don't quite have the clips the correct dimension the snap i should have a new print later today. cool thing on the 3D print is i cant do all different colors and i can even do different logos. these are all prototypes the final product will be much cleaner

what do you guys think?

When you have a final product, I'd be interested. And I don't even have aux items yet. Lol

got another 3d print, this one is really close, I had to hand file some of the tabs to get them to snap, making some minor changes for a better fit. printed with PETG Carbon Fiber. Its strong and flexible. I have snapped it in and out several times and it hasn't broken any tabs yet

been awhile on this. but i made a few revisions, minor design changes, but heres the final version, 4 16mm switched fit perfectly. you can snap it in and out a few times but too much and you will eventually start breaking tabs. i have adjusted heat settings on the 3d print to get it to bond a little better. its printed with multi color so that is not paint. I can do white, red and blue. this is 100% designed by me.

what do you guys think

Very slick! :c lap:

I did one myself and released it back in 23'. Bravo for really diving deep to getting it to have the snug fit and snap in. I opt'd for using hardware to attach mine.

From one 3D guy to another, nice work! What are you using for your printer, material, and design software?

I'm also interested if there is a way to add a remote switch to the driving lights. On my 2017, the switch down by the dimmer control by your knee is really hard to find in the dark. Wondering if it could be extended up to the overhead console? Anybody done this?
