No.. its the other style.. but in my case the truck came with the three button FOBs. I am trying to add a five button FOB as shown below. I am not sure of my truck has the hardware to support it. It came with remote start and the power tailgate so it seems reasonable this should work.

Are you sure it originally came with 5 button fobs? I have a Lariat 500a and mine are only 3 button. Like these.
Curious what you have at this location in the BCM. 726-39-02 xxxx xxx* xxxx TwoWay RKE Enable Cfg: 0=disabled, 1=enabled
I will need to get setup with Forscan and give it a shot. Do you know whether the individual button codes transmitted by the FOB are the same between the 3 and 5 button FOBs ?

I got a copy of the sticker and it appears I have the base 2017 Lariat 500A.. It has remote start via Sync Connect and Fordpass along with the power tailgate unlock. The FOB only has three buttons of the style I posted earlier.

If you have a 500a the 3 button remote is the correct FOB from the factory. I also have Sync Connect as an option but that is different than the remote start from the fob. I had wondered if the 5 button remote would give remote start abilities, along with the tailgate release that already works from the keypad, but I was looking at this fob.
And everything works on the new remote including the tailgate release. My understanding is that if I had purchased the 501a or 502a remotes it would not have been compatible with my truck.
