Default 3.31 Regular Axle

My window sticker states exactly this. I don't have an e-locker or an lsd differential. I decided to do a little burnout on my driveway and I was not expecting this.

I remember on my 01 and 03 GMC Sierras both came with an open differential and both were one pegger. My 06' Silverado came with a G80 locker and it would do exactly what my F150 just did.

What is going on here? Why are both tires engaging since my truck only came with a "regular axle" and not a e-locker or lsd?

No clue, then. Interested in others' opinions.

Traction control reengages above a certain speed (20MPH I think?). There is no 100% T/C off...

Don't they still put tags on the diff cover bolts? Probably more dependable than words on a piece of paper taped to the window.

They both spun because they both had equal traction and you were going straight.

That would explain a LSD, not an open.

Not if they both have the same amount of traction. I have seen it happen on a truck with an open diff on snow. He was slightly stuck and while trying to get out, sometimes both wheels would spin at the same time and it had an open diff and no traction control.
