Mom a side note my theory of letting the nav find itself didn’t help. Must have been dumb luck yesterday

These things die in a perplexing way. They get slow as crap, then spring to life and execute all the inputs. Nav will work just fine, then slowly start drifting off course and showing no GPS, then suddenly jump back on. You'll think that hey, maybe, just maybe, something reset or some glitch cleared... and then it'll stab you in the back with yet another fark-up.

And no, I'm not the *least* bit irritated by this. Especially since my case involves two APIMs in two separate trucks 2 years apart. Plus I have a 2017 Explorer Sport with another APIM sitting in my driveway, so I'm hoping the condition isn't contagious. You would think Ford could fix this by now...
