I have noticed a few items of concern in my 4 day old platinum.
First one is this little gem...of course when I got to the dealer I shut it off and then it wasn't there when it restarted and no codes.
2nd, on page 96 of the owner's manual clearly states that no rear lights are on with the daytime running lights. Mine definitely are. Noticed it because the jetski trailer lights were on on a blindingly bright day. Thought maybe it was because the trailer was plugged in but no, unplugging trailer and rear lights are definitely on. Headlight switch in auto, truck in gear and parking brake on.
3rd, on page 157 of the owner's manual talks about remote starting and climate control. Passenger seat is supposed to mirror what the driver's seat does. I know very well that the heated and cooled seats worked on the passenger side of my 2010, 2013 and 2016. Again, I've only had the truck 4 days but the driver's seat ventilation is on, passenger side is not.
Last one (for now) is that the freaking fuel pump whining so loudly when it's idling?

Reason: 4 hours of sleep grammar
On my 2020 Lariat, when trailer is connected, I put in drive, and the running lights come on with my travel trailer. Maybe there is an option in the menu.?
'3rd page 157 of the owner's manual talks about remote starting and climate control" these are options you can set-up in your menu

I do not hear my fuel pump at all
I realize that and they are all set to auto, just like the last 3 trucks.

Any chance that there's an issue with your ambient light sensor? Are the trailer running lights on when your lights are turned to the off position and the truck is in gear?

tried that, lights go off when headlight switch is off.

So then as far as your lights are concerned, it seems like your truck "thinks" that it's dark and turns all the lights on when you have the headlights switched to automatic. I wouldn't know exactly why this is other than possibly a problem with the ambient light sensor. Think that's plausible?
Any trailer I ever have hooked to my truck, the running lights come on when the headlights are switched to 'parking lights', on, or automatic but only if it's dark enough.

the headlights aren't coming on, if it was the ambient light sensor they'd be on too.

I was pretty sure that is why you were asking. guys with the 15-17s wanted the amber front halo as a daytime running light and the forscan change made them work just like mine are.
