Question 2019 Pre Collision

Recently got a new to me 2019 Lariat with Pre-Collision and Active Braking. From everything I've seen online it should have a row of red LEDs on the dashboard that flash and reflect on the windshield as a warning if there is a collision imminent. I don't seem to have this row of LEDs on my truck. Maybe it's not supposed to have them.....it does show a distance indicator in middle of instrument cluster near the bottom. Can anyone with a 2019 Lariat with the same feature verify if there are LED warning lights or not. I just wanted to see if I need to get it looked at since it does have 2 months of 3/36 left. Thanks in advance.

My 2019 XL has them. If you have them you should see them light up with everything else on the dash when you key-on just before starting.

Can't speak for Fords but. My wife has Chevy with HUD. Heads up display. In 14 months of ownership she has only seen it once. Danger has to be very close and it has to do with speed of her car.,
I don't know if it will work or not, maybe try to roll to back wall of your garage and see if that will give a heads up.

I had no idea what the row of lights were for until about a week ago when traffic came to a sudden stop and I had to break hard and came fairly close. The row of leds let up for a second. I've never seen them light up before accept on start up.

I think it's more about your speed of approach than just merely being close to an object that would sets it off so no, your not going to be able to test it just getting close without some speed of approach and that would be risky. Mine is set to low sensitivity by the way.

I believe these red LED's are only for trucks that don'f have the LCD screen built into the instrument cluster. Without the LCD screen there is nowhere to show the warning so the LED's are used instead.

What model F-150 do you have?

That's what I was wondering. I don't have the LEDs on top of my dash but I do have the bigger LCD screen in the instrument cluster on my Lariat. The window sticker indicates it has pre-collision with auto braking and I do have all the settings for both.....but noticed I didn't have the LEDs on the top my dash. With being the second owner I just didn't know if that's the way it was supposed to be or if the previous owner changed it around somehow. Just want to make sure the truck is how it's supposed to be and everything is working correctly since I'm the second owner.

I have a XLT and I get the audible warning and the blinking alert on the instrument cluster, no LED’s…it’s only gone off once and I was going over a speed bump and there was nobody in front.

It's the way it's supposed to be. Red rectangle lights up in the instrument cluster. Mine goes off as I run up on a car I'm planning to pass.
