Default 2018 XLT with BLIS on Dealer's Lot

I've been reading through the forums, as well as how to negotiate in the https://www.f150forum.com/f118/just-...e-paid-295614/ thread. A lot of good stuff from toptobottom.

I have only been look for a truck within the past 2 months, but had no intentions of buying right away. In fact, I was thinking of building one come summer. However, I have learned the majority of the rebates Ford puts out don't qualify for ordered trucks. With that said, a 2018 that meets almost all of my wants (including BLIS) showed up in a lot near me. It's an XLT with a 2.7 Eco, SCREW, 4x4 in the right color... but it also has factory installed BLIS LED taiIls. I have seen the threads where guys have switched them out, but I really want BLIS as I plan to use while towing our camper.

SO, after all of that... my question is...

How often do XLT, 2.7L Ecos, with factory installed BLIS show up on dealer lots? Should I go for it now and cash in on the $4250 in rebates I qualify for?

Thanks for the help.

It doesn't matter if the truck is on a dealers lot or a special order - all rebates apply. Timing helps a lot though, I ordered in April 2016 for an early June delivery and had $5050 in rebates plus a private cash offer.

$4250 isn't a bad deal on rebates for this time of year - if the build fits and they will deal, I'd buy it. I know most XLTs I see do not have BLIS on them. When I was buying, BLIS was not the hard to find option. There were a few of those - Rear Inflatable Seatbelts was the tough one.

That is also what the dealer told me when I went looking and couldn't find a 2017 that had the options I wanted. I was told that if I ordered a new truck I was taking a chance that the rebates may not be around when the new truck was delivered.

It has been stated many times on here, the dealer can "lock" in rebates when the truck is ordered. I had my dealer do this with my order.

It took me 9 months to find a dealer that wanted to sell a truck and not play games. From the not wanting my trade to the pissed off bc I had my own financing to not wanting to give me a price bc I wasnt buying 'today' dealers, I think I went thru 14 dealers.

Having said that, find a dealer that doesnt want to play games. Trust me they are out there. I could be wrong but most dealers want to sell what is on the lot. Not sure if its bc they have more kick back or if the salesman doesnt get the sell until the truck arrives.
