True. When Ford brought out the Lightning, all they did was rot in dealer lots.

What a a horrible idea by SVT back then.

I'm not understanding why Ford isn't offering the 3.5L in the XLT trim for 2019.

do you mean the ecoboost or do you mean the N/A motor (or Ti-VCT if you prefer)

The new base motor is the 3.3L Ti-VCT or naturally aspirated motor. It replaces the older 3.5L N/A motor across the Ford line (it's in the new explorer for example) and has a touch more power and torque than the outgoing motor. It is also a DI and MPI setup.

I would say better all around - however it is very similar to the older 3.5L.

Unless their website is wrong, the EcoBoost 3,5 isn't an option.

In an XLT? It most certainly is available.

Sincerely,

My truck is most definitely a sports car. Drop that b*tch in sport mode and it'll FLY!

They must have been doing site maintenance this morning, all the engine options are available now, including the 3.0 diesel.

You can get it in a Reg Cab but it has to be a 141 LWB.
The 122 SWB is the only truck the 3.5EB isn't available in.

A 2.7EB in the 122 SWB Flies! Try it before you dis it.

He definitely has sport mode as covered, get him to try it. And I'd try a tune to, the shifting and behavior changes can be noticeable without even accounting for a little bit of a power increase. Probably a lot less expensive and time consuming than swapping trucks this soon

I suppose "moves real good" is a relative term.
