Default 2018 up custom emblem install hack

My brother and I have a new video with a hack for adding custom front and rear emblems on 2018's and up. The channel is Backroad Driver. We show you how to install the front without removing the grill and lower trim above the bumper. You can check it out on YouTube here. bit.ly/BRD-CustomEmblems

This "hack" isn't new.

You can do this with shutters in place. You can fit a tool in between for each nut. if you drop a nut you can easily retrieve it with a magnet.

Can the shutters be opened manually?

Props to @rohada for posting this February 4th on the forum. If you watch our video here https://bit.ly/BRD-CustomEmblems and his thread here https://www.f150forum.com/f118/2018-...grille-438432/ I'm sure you will find good info on both and have a better experience when installing new emblems on your 2018 and up F-150 without the camera.

I don't believe so but if the truck is warm or it is warm outside it shouldn't be an issue.

I’ll just keep it running while I do it I guess.

Yes they can. I did this method when I installed my emblem a while back. My shutters were only about half open. I reached in and gently, but firmly opened them the rest of the way. Easy
