Recently purchased 2018 STX...when purchased I deleted all of the prior owners phones and preferences....then I added my phone and made it the favorite.

Now everytime I start truck it tries to connect to the old owners phone (although I have deleted several times)...then I connect mine.

Also when connected via aux (apple car play) ...it prompts me to 1)agree to apple carplay 2) set up 911 assist

Very annoying

 

Mine has done the same thing. The fix that worked for me was to do a complete factory reset on the radio and delete the truck from my phone. Then set up from scratch. No issues since.

 

As eluded to above, do a SYNC system MASTER RESET.

 

Two master resets and still same issue.......maybe an update is needed or something. I have a love/hate relationship with Sync

 

How are you doing the "master reset"?

have you tried deleting old phone and pulling fuse. I had a problem with mine when i first got it and the old fuse pull trick solved it. permanently.

 

What fuse # controls sync?

 

look it up in your manual. it has the fuses listed. its in the passenger footwell fuse box.

 

Fuse #32……pulled it and didn’t wipe…still have to pair everytime I get in the truck.

guess I need to take it to the dealer
