Default 2018 sync 3

Has anyone heard or read if SYNC 3 is supposed to receive any revisions in 2018? This could be an area that Ford could upgrade on a mid cycle release without the cost of added or changed hardware, just software changes.

Amazon Echo integration, now that's interesting. The LTE hotspot will be nice for connecting the kids WiFi only devices to.

I wonder if any of these features will be able to get retrofitted to previous hardware along with the software update.

The LTE hotspot requires hardware that does not ship with the 2017. Ford will not modify production mid year cycle to add LTE. Plus the LTE hotspot is an incentive to purchase a 2018 model.

Can't you just add a hot spot to your cell phone and use that for wifi?
