Default 2018 STX steering wheel and armrest upgrades

2018 STX 5.0. So like others have done, I upgraded my steering wheel to the leather Lariat version and couldn’t be happier with it. Now I have the Lariat center consol cover and door armrests on order from eBay. I was wondering if anybody could give me some tips on the door armrest procedure. Thanks in advance.

dtorres98 thanks, I read through that thread. The thing I’m leery of is the melting down of the plastic posts. One guy mentioned a heat gun and a screw driver. I’m not seeing it in my head.

Buy a cheap soldering iron, works perfectly and they only cost about $10.

Put the iron in the post and apply pressure, it will melt the post into rings that look just like factory.

Cheescurd, I got it through Gaudin Ford in Las Vegas for $140. It is the Lariat wheel, I swapped out the trim/buttons (super easy). You won’t regret doing it, it is so much nicer than the junk STX wheel.
