3. they did not put enough oil in.
4. do you have oil pressure?
5. did they change the oil filter
6. check the dipstick after it has sat overnight. If it is low speak to the service manager on the phone.

I check it just now, I checked it first yesterday, and when I looked now it’s well below the first dot, almost at tip of the dip stick.

going go up tomorrow after work to have them see it, but gotta put some oil in it tonight so nothing happens while I drive.

The tip of the stick is 2 qts low. There are still almost 7 qt of oil in the pan. No needs to panic.

yea I was freaking lol that I didn’t know about dip stick. But I’m sure adding wouldn’t hurt? Because it’s still under the manufacturer’s “safe” level.

If you are sure that it was properly filled at the last oil change and you want to show the dealer, then just leave it as it and drive on over. Otherwise, throw a couple qts in there to top it back up.

I got the TSB done a couple days ago. So far everything is good, the engine and trans continue to run and shift fine. Time will tell about the consumption. I was using a quart every 1700 mi.

I mean the only way to be sure is if I watched them do it, but no one does that. I have paperwork stating they did it and amount of oil used and all, plus they have that on record.

The best way is to check the dip stick after they change the oil and before you leave the dealer. If it's low you'll see it.

As for driving to the dealer with low oil. Before I knew of this problem I never checked the dip stick. Never had a vehicle that used oil. So at some point I changed the oil myself. Found only 3 qts drained out. So if your just one or two qts low I wouldn't worry. It's better they see the low level. Maybe this explains why the 5.0 has such a big oil pan.

Remove Cab & Replace entire long block

Wondering if you've had any of these issues yet.

FYI, I had the entire dashboard removed from 2 different vehicles (not Fords) to repair air conditioning problems. You couldn't tell afterward.
