Actually I am still trying to figure this out. On my 2016 it moved the seat very far back and then the wheel was tilted up and then telescoped in. As of now, the seat moves a little bit and the wheel moves up only.

Yep, that's all it does now. No settings either for changing or increasing. Seat moves 2 inches.

Also the lines on the window, are they not part of the "heated wiper park"? Looks like defroster for the wipers.

The paint is fine. That's the seam sealer, and yes it looks like pretty poor coverage. Noticeable on the Ford's because they eliminated the plastic trim piece that used to cover that up on the 04-08 trucks as a cost-cutting measure.

Unless you have the utmost confidence in your dealership body shop, leave it alone. Once you crack the seal on your factory paint job, it is never the same...

Thank you, I know what it is but I realize you were making it clear for those that didn't. I actually can give the vehicle back to the dealer today (last chance to do it) but it will take another 8+ weeks and no promise of what I will get next.

Not sure about the windshield, but it *should* be a SoundScreen or whatever it's called - basically a laminated windshield.

As for the seams... oops. I'd live with it as-is, so long as it isn't leaking.

IIRC, there's a federal law about license plate lighting, which probably precludes LED bulbs. Just like Audi's rain-beating headlights which use lasers directed around drops of water - they're a no-no in the US.

Good luck with whatever you decide to do.

Live with it if you can. Just let ford know how impressed you are with their lack of QC.
My new Plat has Hood and Fender fit/finish issues I've never experienced, not even the $2300 Pinto i had once. But i wont have them try and fix it and will live with it.

It's lack of maintenance on the seam sealer tip. Most likely the main line stopped running for awhile and the sealer hardened up on the tip, and that's what you get. If you can wait, I would return it, and order another. The dealerships are Ford's real customers and not us, so it's when the dealerships complain that Ford listens.

I can appreciate your thoughts, I think I will live with it. Nothing says the next one won't look the same when someone doesn't take of the tip. If I could look at when it comes off the line that's one thing. I fully intend thought to share my thoughts with Ford. My dealer said they won't fix it and they will say it's normal. He has agreed to take it back but that's between me and him, I'm sure he will have to sell it.

I don't think he had to inspect every square inch to see that. That job is not acceptable in my books.

I'm in the industry, and one of my guys has done programming and path teaching on that station. Most are not like that, so your chances are low that you will get one that bad again. I have a 15 Platinum and little details like that pissed me off when I paid that much for a truck, but my bad dealership offered no such deal. That made me realize research in the dealership is as important as the vehicle. Enjoy, they are really sweet trucks.
