My 2018 XLT dash looks awful. Purchased the truck March 15, 2018. I will mention it to my service advisor, but I'm not sure if they would do anything. I don't even know if I want them ripping the dash apart to fix/replace.

My dash is warped above BOTH defrost vents, and to the far left, (passenger side) that whole tab piece sticks up in the air and is visible from the drivers seat.

They must have it fixed it for 2017 on mine. No issues.

My honest opinion... I would leave it. I would absolutely not want my entire dash removed and reinstalled to fix that. Not worth the risk of rattling stuff in the dash afterwards.

Just noticed it on my 18, it isnt bad. I wouldn’t even have known to look if it wasn’t for this thread. Probably wont do anything about it as I dont want the dealer tearing it apart.

Issue is still present in 2018 XL/XLTs. I was at several dealers looking at new 18s and honestly could not find 1 XLT that had a good dash. Ended up ordering a Lariat. Not going through dash change again. My 2015 has had dash replaced twice, still warping....not to mention damage done in the process + rattles. Ford recently put a TSB out to dealers not to attempt to fix this issue. This has been going on for 4 years, Ford has not addressed the issue. (Similar to frozen door latches)

The worst part is I live in Canada it does not get that hot here compared to Texas or Florida.

Mine too. In Ontario. Not sure if I should bother having fixed or not. Thoughts?

I’m gonna take a look at mine today. Just got my 2018 STX about a month ago. That sucks because if it isn’t warped, it’s gonna warp soon in this Texas heat. I wonder why Ford changed the dash materials. I remember them using a tougher plastic before 2015

Good luck, it's locked out now and will not be fixed.
