My f150 and work explorer both are slow to spin fan up. Normal.

Its annoying but I have just gotten used to it at this point.

It pre heats or pre cools the air just like your house furnace. If you turn on your furnace at home there will be the same delay. To many people complain about being blasted with air that is the improper temp. Talk to any furnace guy, they will set you straight.
