Default 2018 backup camera quality.

So I recently moved from a 2015 lariat to a 2018. The backup camera seems to be grainy. Even the backup guidelines are pixelated. I'll snap a photo but I know it'll be hard to notice. Anyone else that moved to an 18' notice this? Thanks.

Does look different. I'd go to the dealer and hop in another '18 and see if it's the same way.

My 2018 appears grainy in this photo but on screen it looks crisp and clean

YOU'D THINK for a $50k+ vehicle and the technology we have these days that we'd have HD backup cameras.

HD video cameras will be an updated outdated feature coming to a ford near you in 2022!

Yeah you can't tell by the backup assist lines. Yours looks a lot better.

No way that's right IMO. My 2017 is crystal clear and I seriously doubt Ford started using cheaper camera's?

Crazy thought but sometimes those camera's have little clear plastic film that protects them. Had it on my vette and it was driving me nuts until I discovered the problem... Strangely it looked a lot like the picture you posted... Just a thought.....

Yes my wife did. I also checked and cleaned the rear lens. No plastic on the lens or screen.
