Says XL owner that wants to speak for others.

What does the XL have to do with anything. It is obvious the *** is a very unpopular system. And even the lowly XL has the dumb *** system. You trying to truck-shame me or something? It’s my company truck. I get it for FREE. I don’t even pay for insurance, service/maintenance or gas. I get a new one about every three years, but they are only the XL model. If I had a higher trim level would that give me more credibility?

Because using Forscan for this disables the vehicle's Battery Management System (BMS). Might not lead to issues, but then again, who knows?

I find I can easily control *** by the amount of pressure I apply to the brake pedal. Not that big of an issue to me.

I had mine turned off through Forscan, but recently changed it back. I wired up a dash cam that has a parking recording mode and even though it has it's own power management system, I didn't want to take any chances. I am sure I am just being overly paranoid.

I will disable it with forscan very soon.
Your truck has some VERY serious problems if it shuts off at anything other than a dead stop with at least moderate brake pedal pressure. I’d get it in the shop ASAP.

To those that keep coming on here and saying " I see no problem with it". Hey, great for you, now don't let the door of this thread hit you in the **** on the way out. We hate it, we want it gone. Nothing you will say will convince me that starting my truck more times in one day, than I normally do in a month, is good for my truck.
yes!! Been 4 days no issues at all! I’ll hook jet ski up this weekend make sure trailer assist still works but even on display it has the A with slash thru it like you pressed the button. So I don’t see any problems AND much easier than that jumper wire mess and no pulling dash off 5 seconds you can hook it back IF you ever wanted to

Thanks, I unhooked mine today and did a short trip around town without any problems. Re Battery tender cpu thingy, I unhooked mine on my 2013 without any issues for over a year. I kept getting the shutdown warning . Never had it again after I unhooked it. took 4 years to get my first warning. I had my battery and alternator tested and everything checked out.
