Do you have it in Drive and not Manual? I think in the manual mode you can limit the gears by using the +- on the shifter.

Yes it is in drive, I have tried in norm, snow/rain and Eco mode. Unless truck gets to about 95kph it will not shift into 10 gear.

That doesn't seem normal to me. How many miles are on it and what rear gear? How about try it in manual and see if it will work that way. I'm usually in 9 at 43 and 10 at 46mph. That's assuming flat ground and not accelerating.

That’s exactly what I was going to ask, it might be the reason. If he has the 3.15, it would probably require a faster speed than 3.55.

Mine does the same thing, only while the engine warms up. The transmission takes much longer than the engine to warm...
I believe it keeps it in lower gear to warm the engine up faster. You can manually put it in 10th if it is that big of a deal for you. mine usually kicks in to 10th after a few miles on the highway, and that is when it is in single digits.
I will say that the 10spd doesnt like shifting from 3-5 when its cold. When its warm it shifts fine.

I also have 3.55s and mine behaves about the same as srb1194. Sometimes when engine is cold it will hold 9th a little longer - agreed, helps warm engine faster as wells as catalytic converter.

EDIT: should have added 2017 3.5EB.
