TINS (This Is No ****)

A related story:

My buddy with a 2019 Silverado was leaving his marina at the NJ seashore after docking his boat when a seagull dropped a live clam on the lower corner of his windshield cracking it badly. Glass shop installer said this was a "First for them."

For those not aware seagulls routinely drop clams on a hard surface to break the shells to eat the clams inside.

Yep - I flew into Tanjiers Island in VA with my private pilot friend and he said it is always a concern because the runway can have these shells on it. "Airport" is just a runway it is totally unmanned. He made a low pass before we landed to just see if we could see any obvious obstructions. Not that we could avoid them anyway.
