2017 Transmission Problems
I have a 2017 F150 5.0 6 speed. I am having the same issues they are saying the 10 speeds have.
Getting stuck in first gear, sometimes it gets stuck and won’t go below 3rd or above 5th. Also sometimes when driving it will have no throttle at all, doesn’t rev up or anything. I was told a new lead frame and shift improvement kit will help. Has anyone heard of these issues and thoughts on what it could be? It doesn’t do this every time. Sometimes it won’t do it all day. The check engine light and wrench light comes on when it happens. I also get a shudder around 3rd. First get also drops in pretty hard. I have 150k miles

i would start with the simple things. lead frame, fluid and filter and see what that gets you. if those don't fix it, you know its a serious problem and need to take it to a transmission shop. by this point a good shop will be able to rebuild that transmission with their eyes closed.

You say the CEL comes on.
First thing to do is get the code.
It points to an issue.
If you lose throttle response, it is a large part of when the Trans shifts.
Throttle plate angle sensor signal it pretty important to a lot of functions and up and down shifting points.

this just happened to me today, I bought the truck less than two weeks ago at 90,000 miles. Now it has that same issue with a loud pop and and strong jerk and goes into limp mode won’t shift below 3rd or above 5th. Any idea what they found out about yours ?
