Default 2017 Platinum project

Have had my new 2017 black platinum 4x4 screw with the 6.5' bed for two weeks. I just started with a few mods and goes into the shop tomorrow for a Rough Country level and rear shocks with an additional 1" block. The 3.5L ecoboost with the new 10 speed transmissions is great!

Stock right off the lot.

Love the retractable rails and side steps on the bed.

Added Fold A Cover G4 Elite bed cover including the personal tool caddy.

Fold A Cover opens from the cab side as well making it great with this added tool caddy.

BedRug floor added. Waiting until it warms up to add the full sides. You can also see the Fold A Cover tool caddy stick up 3-4 inches from the bed so you can still slide in a full sheet of plywood or drywall.

Replaced the OEM fog lights with the Sirius LED 30W lights to match the LED headlights. Should have came this way from the factory!

Left light is the OEM fog light. Right light is the new Sirius LED replacement bulb.

Both fog lights changed to the Sirius LED bulb. Matches the headlights very well.

My local shop talked me into the Rough Country for starters. I orginally was thinking on coilover replacements. 95% plus of my time is on paved roads. I will get the lift I want as well as the room for bigger tires with the Rough Country at a much lower cost. When I need to redo my struts and shocks, I will then probably make the jump to the Boss Ultimate or Fox 2.0 coilovers. Left me more $ to spend on other mods as well. lol

Nice looking truck. What did the Fold a Cover with toolbox run you? I have a Bakflip on my 2010, but that FaC with toolbox looks sweet.

Love that cover with the option to open from the front, and the tool caddy. How much did that run you? Am about to pull the trigger on an MX4 or X2 revolver, but if yours is in the same ballpark, might go that route instead.
