Default 2017 Platinum, King Ranch, and Limited Recall

So I'm trying to buy a Platinum right now and the dealer is telling me that all 2017 Platinum, King Ranch and Limited F150s are on a Stop Sell, No Drive hold.

Some issue with a rivet on the rear passenger inflatable seat belts. He's telling me it will be another month before these trucks could likely be fixed. He says the fix isn't even ready, then they have to ship the fix and then the service departments have to complete it.

Anyone hearing the same?

It's a bit complicated for me. I bought another truck, a 502A tech package Lariat, but it had some sap on it from a tree on the lot. The dealer gave a we owe on "removing" the sap. Turns out they had to paint 1/3 the truck. I'm not super happy with a.) the repaint work b.) the fact that there's no new truck smell (it smells like the inside of a paint booth) c.) it's a repainted brand new truck. My preference now is to get a Platinum as it's the only truck with the features I want on the lot. The dealer has been good thus far on this issue, but I want to make sure they're not blowing smoke now.

It is real. Dealers unable to sell until repaired as per NHSTA. Another thread on it here somewhere on the forum, but a quick internet search with flood with the responses.

See this link with photo of the recall notice. Read especially the bottom:

Also applies to 2017 Raptors. Left rear passenger seatbelt issue. Trucks cannot be driven or sold until the fix has been done.

I had the same issue. I was ready to purchase a 2017 Platinum, down to trade in offer and everything... and bam! Dead in the water. Now I have to decide whether to bump down to a Lariat, wait for the fix, or go for the 2018. I'm just tired of the process.

Are the only F150's with inflatable rear seat belts Platinum and King Ranch? So if we have any other model we're good to go?

Yes, I got a letter from Ford about the recall on my KR. Was at the dealer last week to pick up some parts I had ordered, and asked the Service Rep. about the recall and he said it would probably be sometime in October before more details and parts are out and that there was a hold on sales of new models with the inflatable rear seat belts.

Definitely real. Looks like I'm going to bite the bullet and get an
'18 Platinum. Dealer offered to give me A plan pricing + the $500 incentive due to the issues on the other truck. It's more out of my pocket as I lose the 0% interest, but a good "deal" on the '18. I want the a truck with those features and the dealer is saying they have no clue when the Plat/KR/Limited will become available again. Sales manager said Ford is still trying to reproduce and doesn't even have a plan.
