Default 2017 Low level ACM reprogram audio build

Hello Guys,

For some reason the site does not let me post in the audio section but this section is better anyways.

OK guys... bit the bullet, send me your blessings that I get a very nice clean low level output out of this truck...

Originally we started with the OEM Sony sound system, we reprogrammed for low level output and de-equalization (thanks to LIVNITUP). We did a quick little test with a speaker and were getting all sync 3 voice commands from the low level outputs without any other mods to the wiring, we chose to get the low level outputs from behind of the truck where they went to the OEM Sony amp.

As you can see OEM Amp and sub are completely off the vehicle and not needed anymore, if this could not be done there´s no way in hell I would venture to add a system feeding of the Sony amp it would be terrible.

In a few hours I will know if this works or not... but it should and SQ should be excellent since I am not getting the outputs from the Sony amp which is heavily processed to work with the sub-par OEM speakers and also clips the signal A LOT over 75% volume. I will be getting the outputs directly from the ACM like any other aftermarket head-unit.

Thanks!
JC

Cant wait to see what comes of this! I have a pair of hertz energy speakers in my 85 F250 on a JL 300/4 amp and its pretty darn good.

OK... it does work and works well.

-Great SQ apparently
-Low Noise Floor
-No turn off or turn on pops

Even the stock Sony system makes some funny digital noises when you turn all the volume down and the truck is off, those noises are now gone.

Yeah... I'm going to need you to go ahead and throw that into my truck.

Thanks

So these are the changes you'll want to make with FORScan in the ACM module:
Variable Line Level Preamp Outputs From ACM (for adding aftermarket amp without sound clipping)
ACM 727-01-01 xx5A xxxx xxxx
ACM 727-01-02 00xx
APIM 7D0-01-01 2xxx xxxx xxxx <--- this change required only if you have Sony DSP

See post #1 here for getting started with FORScan: https://www.f150forum.com/f118/forsc...-truck-348987/

let me get this straight, I could change the top 2 lines( I dont have the sony DSP) and i can tap the sub feed for a 4/5 channel amp to do the entire truck IE input from factory connection at the rear and run new wires to the doors and just leave the head unit alone...
and holy cow thats some expensive stuff in that truck

I'm not experienced/well-versed in stereo installations at all but those are the values I gave the OP to achieve what he did in his write-up. Hopefully he responds to answer your question better.

Yes, look at it like this; with this programming you will have basically to pairs of RCAs with low level signal that you can use to feed a new amp. As simple as that.
