Default 2017 KR front bumper sensor question

This truck is fully loaded, including lane keeping and parking sensors.

I have turned the sensors on and set to full max sensitivity.

When reversing I hear the beep increasing as I get closer to an object. When moving forward to park, I get no tone, no matter how close I move to ant fixed object. The exception being, while driving and approaching a stopped car, I get the heads-up red lights and accompanying tone.

Any thoughts on why the front sensor isn't giving me a tone while parking?

Been to the dealer three times (Central Ford) and they are truly clueless.

Does it have the sensors in the front bumper like it has in the rear?

It does not. The front bumper only has the 2 large rectangular plastic sensors. Are you thinking that I shouldn't be getting the beeping when moving forward?

Thank you for your response!

Yes, without the small round sensors located in the bumper (like the rear has) there is no "beep".

At least through model year '17 and I believe '18, front sensors were not an option that was available.

You need to find another dealer. The reason you are not getting warning from the front bumper sensors is because there are none!

When I'm trying to snuggle up the front end to something I reach out and push the camera button.

You don’t have front parking sensors. You have a camera instead.
