Default 2017 Front Sock Installation Time?

Hello all,

I recently got bilstein 6112's for my 2017 F-150. Unfortunately I don't really have the time or patience to install them right now. I'm trying out a new shop and was wondering what the installation time/price should be on these? I was thinking it's probably around a 4-5 hour job so $500 should be fair, correct?

Thank you,
Nick

I paid $282.00 labor at the dealer to replace all four shocks with Bilstein 5100’s

I installed my 6112's in about 2 hours. This was using a professional Strut Tamer stand-mounted spring compressor to take off the OEM top hats which saves a great deal of time.

Another option is to source a second set of top hats also called strut mounts. Since the 6112's come with the spring, you could simply bolt the new top hat on without messing with the stock struts. This option could lower install time to less than 2 hours. Note that this does not include time for alignment. I highly suggest getting an alignment immediately after installation. My camber was not that far off, but my toe was off enough to begin wearing the front tires unevenly. I purchased alignment cam bolts to make alignment easier.

Hope this helps!
