... front license plate?

(If I had to to one, I would mount it on the driver's side of the bumper, like pictured above.)

So I finally got my NJ plates and registration. Since there are mixed opinions on this thread as well as in other posts online, I went to a local dealership and asked them to order the bracket for me. They ordered FL3Z*17A385*A. When they tried to put it on they were completely perplexed and said there was no place to mount it on and that they would need to drill holes onto the bumper. I said I wanted it done the official way considering I'm at a Ford dealership!

The parts guy then tells me they ordered the wrong part and that it would be FL3Z*17A385*B and that they won't currently have it in stock. Even at this dealership no one clearly knew whether the bracket should go in the middle or to the side. I told them I've Ecoboost and Adaptive Cruise and it sounded like they were guessing as giving me a clear direction.

I think I am going to look for another dealership nearby with a platinum in stock so I know they have mounted it on. Will keep you guys posted on what I find.

2017 Raptors come from the factory with holes pre-drilled in the bumper for the center mount plate bracket. I plugged them with some 3/16" hole plugs I found at Lowes.

goes in center. The 11-14 ecos were offender. All 15+ are dead center regardless of trim/options. Every one I've ever seen on dealer lot or in the wild is dead center. Surprised dealer didnt know that. It's s plastic rectangular piece that clips into the center hole above bumper. Makes sense when you see the part. No drilling.

Glad I live someplace that front plates aren't required. And also glad the factory front plate mount isn't drilled or hardwared onto any part of the truck. just clips on the front and clips off. Hadn't even left the lot and I took mine off.

i went drivers side also. don't want to take it off and on every weekend or so. i don't have a tech pkg so nothing on the drivers side. the acc/tech pkg requires passenger side or center.

Default Plate location

Plate bracket goes in center. Different part number for V8 and 3.5 EB. You only need the the plate size bracket that snaps on your current bars, not the whole unit. Ford price is $12.

Glad I just found this. I have a 19 Raptor and want to put a light bar in that small bottom grill area. In NY we need a front plate. I also have adaptive cruise. What’s my options? How is the one above mounted? Does any company make a bracket to mount on the side as they do for my other car?

Also it says in the Raptor owners manual supplement "Remove the front license plate before off-roading to achieve optimal performance". So I figured why block the opening at all then?
how is that plate mounted? Do you have a thread on it? Do you think that would block a light bar in behind that small grill?
