I am a new F150 owner. Joined this forum to ask questions. I feel like I'm in court. Love my truck just hope others can get clear guidance on service issues rather than being run out. Honestly I love my truck.

No I don't work for ford. It's understanstandable to be concerned about an oil leak, but keep in mind there's only been this one thread about it on the gen 2 EB so obviously it's not common at all.

When something is mass produced (like vehicles), it's inevitable that something will break sooner rather than later. An oil leak on a brand new truck is a perfect example. Nothing to worry about since it's just 1 issue. The dealer fixed it, you're good to go. Now, if you start having multiple issues and your truck is constantly in and out of the shop, then that's a different story. But since it's not, don't worry about it. Just enjoy your brand new truck!

Update: had the truck into the dealer for the oil leak (and a couple of other items). They ended up replacing the composite oil pan altogether (along with the oil pan seal material).

yes sadly there is an issue with the seal on the oil pan and also the tranny pan. not everyone is or will be effected. seams the factory installer of the sealant was hungover when applying it or programming it to be installed a few days. lol good news is i haven't read of anyone having the issues after the dealership correctly replaced the sealant and pan.

Default Oil leak

My F150 3.5 at 2,000 miles was slightly wet around oil pan. Dealer dye test confirmed pan gasket leak and removed and resealed oil pan. Have not reinspected, was just fixed 7 days ago . 2/2017 build date

730 miles on my 2017 3.5L Eco. Developed the oil pan leak today. Discovered it while installing RCI skid plates. Heading down to the dealer in the morning.
