Default 2016 Sync 2.2 upgrade

Just came back from the dealer.....they upgraded me to 2.2 ....cost me $105. I guess i's a dealer owner upgrade. Anyway I installed Android Auto on my Android phone.....plugged it in an Google stuff including maps are available. hey said a module is needed for an iPhone.
I know.....this info is probably in one of the lengthy threads already on the board but I just thought I'd let you know......I always thought a module would be needed no matter what
