Default 2016 Platinum electrical issues

Our truck recently was in the shop 57 days. The Ac shut off and the radio was stuck on. All the safety stuff said malfunction, the windows, door locks, electric seats and running boards would not work. Dealer changes 2 modules and a sensor. Gave it back to us on day 57. We had it 3 days and it did it again. Anybody have this issue and what did the dealership do to fix it? They claim they have never seen it before and may have to fly in a tech.

Sorry to hear that. But can you tell is if you've ever been in an accident, or had any issues that could have led to this? I like to know if it's strictly a Ford issue, or something that is not their fault, like previous accident damage, and the like. Big difference. Thanks.

No accidents. We bought the truck June 2017. In May of 2018 my husband noticed the glitch on his drive home from work. He drives an hour and it’s been in the 90’s temp wise. When he got home and let the truck sit it resets itself and everything was working. The next day it did it again on his way home from work but this time everything did not reset and stayed broke. The dealer changed a module and a battery sensor. Was still not working. They then ordered another module that was backordered. They put the new module in test drove it and gave it back to us. We drove it 3 days and it glitched again during my husband’s lunch break. This time we towed it back. Dealer is letting Ford HQ tell them what parts to change but they don’t seem to know what part it is. Only has 16,000 miles on it. Each time it has done it the temperature has been in 90’s outside.

Truck was bought brand new. Still has the new truck smell. The year anniversary of it was celebrated in the shop where it had been for 40 days at that point. It had sat at dealership for awhile because of the backbordered module that was supposed to fix it
