2016 Parking Sensor Problem
At random, cold out, warm out, dry out or wet out - my left rear backup sensor will sound off. Then just as random it will go away.
Took it to dealership - not reproducible. No fault codes tripped either since a proximity alert is not a fault.
Best part is I asked if I took a time stamped video of it happening and in the same shot showed there’s nothing there to trip the sensor works they replace the sensor, they said no. Not good enough. They’d have to physically see it. Oh and the dealership is booked two weeks out so what are my chances of it staying faulty for two weeks you get it to them? Zero of course.
Never ceases to amaze me how crappy the auto industry is on standing behind their vehicles. No benefit of the doubt given if it means saving them a buck/kicking the can down the road/running the clock out on your bumper to bumper “warranty”.
