Default 2016 offset rub question

Currently running 20” stock sport rims on 35x12.5x20 with 3 inch rough country lift and 1.5” spacers and have no rub but looking get new rims and ones looking at only come in 20x10 -18. Looking for anyone who has a setup close to this not sure I wanna completely remove crash bars. Any advise would be great thanks.

You're gonna have to cut/ trim something. My truck is an 18 with a 7 inch readylift on 35s with 20x10 -24s. When I got it done I didn't trim anything, right when pulling out of the shop I rubbed on the front valance. Got home and removed that, and still occasionally have rubbing at full lock to the right, and going in or out of a driveway, depending on how fast I go.
My best bet is you might have to cut the front crash bars if you want to run -18s, and I never recommend that. Best scenario is you have to trim the lower valence and plastic, no big deal. I suggest you go on customoffsets website and enter your truck with the desired wheel size, lift height, tire size, etc. They have thousands of trucks and all of them say If there was any trimming or rubbing involved.

Here's a truck I found, 2016, 4 inch lift, 35x12.5, 10 wide -18. The description says minor metal trimming, he's most likely referring to cutting the crash bars. Keep looking around on the website though, this guy might have cut them just because and might not have needed to, maybe you can get away without cutting the crash bars.

Possibly read this wrong, you have a 3" RC bolt on, AND 1.5" spacers? For 4.5" ?

Almost every f150 on customoffsets website with a 4.5 lift, 35s, and 10 wides stated they cut the front crash bars along with plastic trimming. Looks like your SOL unless, perhaps there's a way you could cut a couple inches or so off the crash bar instead of chopping the whole thing.

I think he means hes got the 3" lift up front and 1.5" wheel spacers on his stock rims, not a total of 4.5" lift up front

Im not familiar with CV angles and the harms of too much lift with incorrect items but it sounds like thats a bad combo. If this is indeed a bad set up you might want to reconsider leaving it as is because this can cause damage to the surrounding items, might be better off getting it done correctly now or taking it off until you can do a proper set up. Last thing you want is to pay for repair work on this current set up and then just have to pay for the proper set up on top.

according to rough country it’s within factory specs I don’t see why they would sell a bolt on kit if it wasn’t safe it’s full 3” lifted strut with upper control arms no spacers or anything like that
