When are they going to release ordering info on the 2016? When do they open for orders? I wan't oxford white on the Platinum and no chrome!

All though that's a good idea it's probably not gonna happen. Plats have come with chrome since they were introduced. Doubt there gonna make an exception for the 5 percent of people who don't want it on that model.

according to mike levine on twitter 2016 models don't go into production until fall and on sale in the winter. I think the 2016 model is not going to be much different than 2015. My guess is one or two new paint options and the trailer backup assist as well as the new myfordtouch infotainment sytem or whatever it is called. hopefully 2017 will have the new 10 speed available for all models. I plan to replace my 2011 probably with a 2017 model at some point. beyond 2017 with the 10 speed I don't see much they can do to improve the trucks. To me the big question is when are they going to introduce a new engine and what will it be? Sounds like diesel is not in the plans. I think some kind of hybrid is more likely than a diesel. Probably the next engine will be another twin turbo just with more technology (port injection?). I think if the 2.7 ecoboost proves reliable there isn't much they could do to make it better.

I also think it's likely the 2017 model could go into production early in 2016. I know the super duty has started production a full model year ahead before (I think maybe it was the 2011 model that started production january 1 2010). My guess is the 10 speed is nearly ready. We already know it has been in the on-road testing phase for more than a year. The 2017 raptor was revealed in january. It's not often a vehicle is revealed more than a year before it starts production.

or do some KR particular wheels, not just painted lariat ones or the pvd

 

Sorry you didn't like my answer to your question. I bet we don't see info in these until at least September, maybe later. Maybe I'll be wrong. Point is right now no one knows anything for sure on the 2016 dates and someone makes a thread asking this every other day.
