You mentioned window sticker. What does the doorjamb sticker say for tire size?

Hmm, maybe it's because I don't have a locking rear diff? Or maybe the larger tires are an upgrade option found on most trucks? Notice I didn't pay any extra for this tire size "no charge".
Here's a snipit of my windows sticker:

I think its because you have a 6500# GVWR package. Most are over 7000# I believe.

Hmm, I don't think that is it. I just went to a dealer website and spot checked the window sticker on six 2018 supercabs. They all have the 6500# GVWR and 275/65R18 tires. I'm not sure why my truck came with the smaller tires. I'm not overly concerned about it, but it is curious. By the way, I bought it off the lot like this and didn't order the truck.

The larger AT tire is an option. It would be a good year wrangler. Put the larger ones and check the speedo with a phone app like Waze...

Even on a King Ranch 4x4 super duty they only get the stock sized 2wd street tire in 18s. You just never see them like that.

My 2016 4x4 supercrew w/ 5.0L and tow package has a window sticker that says the tires it came with are 265/60R18 with black sidewall.

However, I still have the original tires on the truck, and just confirmed that they are 275/65R18 with raised white letters.

I found another post on this forum where someone had the dealer order their truck with black side walls. The truck came with 265/60/R18's with the black sidewall tires. I'm thinking that maybe the black sidewall option only comes in 265/60/R18 tires?

I still think it's about load carrying capability. You have a lower load carrying capability truck since your GVWR is 6500 lbs. Your maximum tow capacity is only 7500 lbs too. I'll have to do some more digging but I'm pretty sure that's why it came with smaller tires.
