Is this anything to be concerned about when taking your vehicle in to be serviced for warranty work etc.?

I have the hypertech, I'm running trailgrappler 295/70 r18s which are 34.5" tall. 33.5 setting seemed to get me right on with a gps app I used. I'm happy with it, did what it was designed to do. It doesn't changed the odometer from what I under stand it just puts the speedometer back to the correct speed therefore your odometer will reads the correct mileage same as stock. As far as the shift points it you can't change them with the tuner. But they will go back to the same as the factory tires. When I added the taller tires it seem to bog down before down shifting. Now it shifts correctly, I'm no mechanic but I think it's all tied to the speedometer for shift points. As far as warrenty I'm not sure, I added a tune so mine went bye bye.

Does going to a taller tire affect the MPG readout ( I know it affects actual MPG's), and if so does the speedo recalibration correct it? I don't care if my speedo is a little off, I actually like it since I can go a little faster without my wife getting on my case. But I'd like the MPG readout to be accurate (I know it's not 100% accurate compared to hand calculating).

I would think it would effect it, I'm not sure how it calculates it. I could never check because my odometer reading wasn't correct so I couldn't compare it by hand. Mine said I was averaging 14.7 before now it's around 18. I did a tune at the same time so I can't be sure.

This would not send alarm bells off for the dealer, it is not uncommon to have communication trouble code over time. Even if they did notice then what. The dealer can not void your warranty for it as you have only modified the BCM Commuter (Not the PCM). The BCM gets modified by you the driver almost every day when to turn on & off items such as headlight timeout delay after tuning off your vehicle. On the other side of things, the Hyphertech does modify the vehicles PCM which is a greater concern for the Dealer. But please note the changes Hyphertech does is very safe but the Dealer see's it differently.

Thanks, I'm not tech savvy (from the crayon age) I'll try to figure out how to do the forscan thing...Gotta admit, it sounds Greekish!

Will need a speedometer correction because today I'm installing taller tires.

I just got the Hypertech Calibrator to correct my speedo. Before doing this, do I really have to remove the fuses for the radio/aftermarket amp and Satellite radio?

I do not have aftermarket but all i did was turn off radio, a.c and closed doors. Never had a issue after a fee flashes. Also if using a tuner, i did hypertech after tune. Dont know if thats right or wrong but worked for me

I didn't pull any fuses. I just plugged it in and did my calibrations. Be aware the values may vary from the exact measurements from your tires to get the speed to match GPS speed. I had to change the configuration a couple times to get it correct.

Just a suggestion...

Download the Tuner Application Update software from Hypertech's website and update the firmware prior to using.
