2016 F-150 raptor conversion

sorry didn't mean straight up and down. The wedges kick the shock out so it hits the front cv's and would put a bunch of unequal pressure on the 3 studs at the upper shock mount. Anyone experience this on a 4x4? I installed the raptor knuckle or spindle as well.

I have the gen 2 upper, no wedges installed at all and seems perfect. I drove it a mile or so but I haven't gotten an alignment yet. Mid perch sits a little low in the front but not bad.

The point of the shims are to give a flat mounting spot on the underside of the buckets and a flat spot on the top for tightening. This ensures the studs don’t bend and there isn’t any extra outward pressure on the coil. If you dont use shims you run the chance of ruining the bushing at the top of the coil.

I'm not doubting this and fully understand why these are needed and appreciate all the help. Are your trucks 4x4? Ive searched and cant find a definite answer for 4wd. I'm removing the shocks for the third time next week to get rebuilt ill install the shims at reassembly. My shocks sit crooked and put uneven pressure on the studs with the shims installed, Also shocks hit the cv axles. Without the shims they sit nice and flat in the bucket which has very little angle on my 4x4 frame. I'm out in the desert camping and riding this weekend and will post pics early next week.

Hey there! Great thread with your conversion!
im purchasing a 502a 2016 lariat super crew and interested in mostly the cosmetic part of a conversion.
did you have to do any custom fabrication for any of the body panels?
Did you need to replace the actual bed or just bedsides?
i saw some mentioning about changing the axles? Is this in addition to upgrading the suspension ?
thank you, lots of questions to see if it’s worth it.
